Hopefully all the answers below will answer your questions regarding setting up a Dodgeball club. If not then please contact a member of the Development Team
What makes my club an official club?
You will need to have a club committee and a constitution. The minimum numbers of positions that are required on a club committee are a chairperson, secretary and treasurer. For a copy of the a Dodgeball Club Constitution template please click here
How can I find information and help for my club & volunteers?
Please visit the volunteer section of the website that will provide you with information on recruiting volunteers and volunteer development
How can I find a coach for my club?
If you are not already a qualified Dodgeball coach then enrolling onto a UKDBA level 1 or level 2 coaching certificate would be a good start. Alternatively advertise for a coach at your local leisure centre
How can I recruit members?
Speak to your local school sports co-ordinator about putting on a taster session in the school is a good way to start
How can I find a venue?
Your local leisure centre or schools will have times available that you can book out facilities for private club hire
Where can my club compete?
The national club cup (starts 2010) will be a great place for your club to compete in the future. As Dodgeball is a relatively new sport it may be an idea to look on the find a club section and see if there are any other clubs in your area. This could provide you with a great opportunity to contact them and organise a match or even a league
Where can I get equipment?
Official Dodgeballs and the UKDBA recommended under 12 Dodgeballs are available to order from this website
What if my club has junior members?
If you are working with under 16’s you will need a CRB and it is advised that you have attended child protection training
Where do I go from here?
We recommend affiliation to the UKDBA, which provides your club with public liability insurance and how to gain a CRB, all things that you will need to have in place when setting up a Dodgeball club
