National ranking points are awarded for participation in UKDBA affiliated tournaments, played fully to UKDBA Match Rules.

• 100 points are awarded for each tournament ranking position, eg. 1^st = 100 pts / 2^nd = 200 pts/ 3^rd = 300 pts.
• Each Tournament Ranking Position below 12 is awarded an extra 25 points, eg. 13^th = 1225 pts, 16^th = 1300 pts, 20^th = 1400 pts, 22^nd = 1450pts. This is to reflect the fact that most tournaments have 12 or fewer teams participating and entry into a larger tournament should not handicap a team’s National Tournament Ranking position excesively.
• The points awarded are totalled and then divided by the number of tournaments each team has participated in.
• The team with the lowest points score will be ranked as No. 1; the team with the highest points score wil receive ther lowest position.
• Team rankings in the British Championships, from 2008 onwards, will be awarded half the normal points, to reflect the higher calibre of the event (i.e. 1st = 50 pts / 2^nd = 100 pts / 3^rd = 150 pts, down to 12^th = 600 pts).

The UKDBA tournaments used to calculate the National Ranking will be those that have taken place over the previous 24 months, up to and including the latest tournament, which has been played. After the Regional Championships 2008, teams that have played in only one competition will be ranked below all teams that have played in two or more tournaments.
