FOREST HEATH DODGEBALL TOURNAMENT
Venue – Dome, Mildenhall Date – Thursday 21st January 2010
Over 60 Children played in 8 teams from local schools: Mildenhall College of Technology (MCT), Riverside, College Heath and Breckland; in Forest Heath’s first official Dodgeball tournament.
Each School had been training for 8 weeks at either a lunch or after school club, led by a Teacher, Coach or Sport Leader who attended the Level 2 Dodgeball course. The teams consisted of Year 8 and 9 pupils (12-14 years old), with a mix of boys and girls.
Sport Leaders travelled from Norwich to umpire the event. They have been coached by Andy Motch, a PE Teacher and a qualified UKDBA Referee. Their expertise made sure the games were umpired to a high standard.
The tournament was fast paced and full of energy; lots of fun was had by all. Every school played at least 3 fixtures. The eventual winners of the tournament were Mildenhall College of technology - Team 2; College Heath - Team 1 were the runners up.
