DODGEBALL COACHING CERTIFICATES

P.E.T. Course, for P.E. Teachers: a two-hour course to enable Teachers to hold dodgeball lessons for pupils. A one-off session, for up to 20 candidates, which will be charged to the school/school partnership.

LEVEL ONE CERTIFICATE, for Assistant Coaches, is a distance learning course, in which trainees must demonstrate a full understanding of Rules and Regulations. This qualification is aimed at young people who are taking their first steps into coaching and want to support a Level Two Dodgeball Coach.

It is recommended as preparation for those who are taking the Level Two course.

LEVEL TWO CERTIFICATE, for Coaches, is a one-day course comprising of written and practical elements.

On successful completion of the UKDBA Level Two course a candidate should be able to:

Demonstrate an ability to safely organise and supervise Dodgeball activities including drills, games and tournament play.

Promote and establish working relationships and high standards of behaviour with players, coaches, parents and officials in the overall development of Dodgeball.

Demonstrate an understanding of related aspects of coaching Dodgeball including:

• Coach and player development
• Good practice in team management and coaching
• Health and Safety
• Team administration
• Working with parents, attitudes, within codes of conduct and ethics
• Basic laws of the game and rule variations in the age groups
• Demonstrate an ability to identify and adapt Dodgeball activities and sessions for a variety of different skill levels and age groups.

Demonstrate an awareness of further personal development opportunities in Dodgeball including coaching, administration, officiating and sports therapy.

LEVEL THREE CERTIFICATE, for Senior Coaches, will be for those who want to work with teams and individual players on tactics and improving techniques for throwing, catching, running and agility. Cost £95.00

LEVEL FOUR CERTIFICATE, for INSTRUCTORS, will be for coaches who want to take on the responsibility of running UKDBA Level Two Coaching Courses. Cost £150.00

LEVEL FOUR ADVANCED CERTIFICATE, for ADVANCED INSTRUCTORS, will be for coaches who want to take on the responsibility of running UKDBA Level Three and Level Four Coaching Courses. Cost £150.00
