Our mission

'The UKDBA is responsible for the development, delivery and promotion of the sport of Dodgeball throughout the UK. The UKDBA has set ambitious targets for the future that will see the widespread growth of the sport of Dodgeball within all age groups.'

The UKDBA is responsible for:
Regulating the sport, both on and off the court, ensuring that the rules, equipment and representatives support a safe and inclusive environment which encourages both new and existing players into the sport
Delivering a coaching framework that supports the development of the sport amongst all ages, backgrounds and abilities
Promoting Dodgeball throughout the UK to establish it as an accessible and fun competitive sport with pathways from the grassroots in schools through to the highest level of the adult game
Organising the National, Regional and University tournament structure including the UK league tables and the co-ordination of our qualified referees
Sanctioning, either directly or indirectly, all matches, leagues and competitions played in the UK
Liasing with the United Kingdom Sports Council, Sport England, Sport Wales, Sport Northern Ireland and sportscotland to ensure we exceed their expectations of Dodgeball and maintain our status as a recognised sport and the National Governing Body for Dodgeball.

Dodgeball has many advantages over other sports, but none more than its absolute accessibility. It is played right across the world by people of all ages, sexes and sporting abilities. It is very simple to learn, and ‘everyone’ has the ability get involved as part of a team.

Dodgeball has been played at a local level for many years, however the formal structure of the sport that the UKDBA continues to provided has given it the ability to grow at an unprecedented pace within the UK through the continued development of its players, coaches and the sport itself.

The UKDBA’s goal is to grow the sport through ‘Home Countries’ events to ‘Internationals’ and eventually the Olympics.
