DODGEBALL: recognised as a sport by the Sports Councils of Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland & England.

UKDBA are looking for businesses and organisations who will help us to promote dodgeball, at all levels, throughout the UK.

Leicester Make It Two In A Row

Leicester City Ligers won their second trophy in three weeks at the North East Open, in Durham. They showed their opposition no mercy as they crushed all their opponents without losing a single game.

The Leicester team made it a clean sweep, as Steve Moore won the fastest Throw contest, with a 62 m.p.h. throw to move him up to 3rd in the fastest throw table, and Shaun Scott took the trophy for the Last Man Standing.

Local Durham team The 5 D’s put in a great showing in their first UKDBA event by making it to the Final.

The Doritos Dodgeball Challenge has a winner - LEEDS HAWKEYES!

Doritos wanted to find the nation’s top dodgers, to take on the best in America, the San Diego Crossfire. The match will be available to view on the Doritos website on 25th June.

The teams competed live on line against players at home on their PC’s, everyday from 1st-31st May 2009.

Leeds Hawkeyes (aka Leeds Met Carnegie I) won the competition with an outstanding score of 4,740, hit by only 1% of the balls. Warwick Uni Battle Toads set a high standard on day 19 of the challenge with a score of 4,341 and were also hit by 1% of the balls fired at them; but their top spot lasted just 9 days when Hawkeyes became only the 2nd team to score over 4,000 points.
